Dropout.LA is an online store operated by Mystery Inc. (“Dropout,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and shared when you visit Dropout.LA, place an order, or contact us.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you order a product or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, billing and shipping addresses, the products you order, and any information you include in a message to us. Payment and transaction information. We use Squarespace Payments to accept payments. Squarespace Payments and its service providers collect and process payment information. Website information. Squarespace hosts our website and collects information needed to operate it, including IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, and interactions with the site. We use Squarespace Analytics, including its Activity log, to understand site traffic, orders, and how visitors use the store.

How we use information

We use information to operate the website; process payments and orders; arrange production, shipping, and delivery; respond to questions and resolve problems; maintain records; protect the store against fraud or misuse; understand how the website performs; and meet legal obligations.

If you opt in to marketing emails, we may send you news and offers. You can unsubscribe using the link in those emails. We may still send messages needed to complete or service an order.

Who receives information

Squarespace and payment providers. We share information with Squarespace to host the store and manage checkout and orders. Squarespace Payments uses Stripe for payment processing and Sift for fraud monitoring and detection. Those providers also process information under their own privacy policies.

Production and fulfillment partners. For products ordered through Dropout.LA, we share the information needed to make and deliver the product with the relevant partner, including Printful or Tapstitch. This may include your name, delivery address, contact details, and order specifications. Shipping carriers receive the information needed to deliver your parcel.

Other disclosures. We may disclose information to other providers we actually use for [email marketing, customer support, accounting, or other services—complete or remove], when required by law, to protect the store and its customers, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business.

Zazzle purchases

Some products on Dropout.LA, including ping pong paddles, link to Zazzle for purchase. When you follow that link, you leave our website and complete your purchase through Zazzle. Zazzle collects and handles the information you provide on its site under Zazzle’s Privacy Notice. We do not receive the payment-card information you give Zazzle. Zazzle only provides purchaser name and email to us.

Cookies and analytics

Squarespace uses cookies and similar technologies to run the website and support features such as the shopping cart and checkout. It also uses cookies and other data for analytics. At the effective date of this policy, our Squarespace cookie banner is off, non-essential cookies are not restricted through that setting, and Squarespace’s Activity log is on.

We have not connected a Google Analytics account or Meta Pixel to the website. We will update this policy and review the site’s privacy controls before adding them. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although blocking some cookies may affect store functions.

Your choices and requests

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in each email. To ask about, access, or request correction of information associated with your orders or account, contact us below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

Retention and security

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to fulfill orders, provide customer service, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, and comply with law. We use reasonable measures intended to protect information, but no website or electronic transmission is completely secure.

Children

Dropout.LA is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us.

Changes

We may update this policy as our practices change. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide any additional notice required by law.
